Rudina Toro, Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Rudina Toro was appointed PBD’s first Chief Financial & Operating Officer in 2023. She joined PBD in the spring of 2023, bringing extensive expertise from her successful career in finance, accounting, and business consulting. A certified public accountant in the state of Florida, Toro holds a dual Bachelor of Science in applied finance and accounting from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a master's degree in taxation from Florida Atlantic University. Toro first collaborated with Managing Director Sue Ellen Beryl during her time as an audit manager with Nowlen, Holt & Miner, P.A., working on PBD’s inaugural audit. This partnership ignited a strong professional and personal relationship, and Toro soon became a frequent audience member when PBD was operating out of its 84-seat theatre on Banyan Boulevard. She grew up surrounded by theatre. Her mother was a producing artistic director, and her uncle was an actor and director with the Albanian national theatre. This early exposure instilled in her a lifelong passion for the performing arts. Toro’s financial leadership and her personal connection to the theatre world position her as a driving force in PBD’s mission to create meaningful and powerful theatre experiences for the community.
