Marlene Silver

Marlene Silver has been an active volunteer across several communities for over 35 years. From Toronto to Memphis, Telluride, Boca Raton, and now Palm Beach, various philanthropic endeavors and board responsibilities have included UJA/Federation, Memphis Federation campaign chair; Federation National Women’s Board (Memphis); Memphis Jewish Foundation; Federation of South Palm Beach County; Jewish Women’s Foundation South Palm Beach, co-chair; Jewish Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach, Sparky Productions (Telluride); Telluride Community Foundation; Telluride Jazz Festival Board; the Commission for Jewish Education of the Palm Beaches; Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, Palm Beach; Palm Beach Dramaworks, gala chair; and most recently as a board member for Stand With Us. A graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications, Marlene worked in radio news for many years for The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and then in media relations for the Royal Ontario Museum. She later worked in media relations at Bauhaus Canada Ltd., the furniture manufacturing firm owned by her husband, Martin Silver. Marlene is honored to serve the communities in which she lives.
